『meruru VS Finger』Viable bacteria count test

Before the launch of meruru, we ordered a specialized organization to measure the number of viable bacteria in the contact lenses and preservative solution, after two weeks of use with meruru and their fingers.
The results of the measurement are shown below.

Samples used for viable bacteria count test

＜Test1＞
Measured the viable bacteria in meruru, that was used for contact lens insertion and removal for 8 months.
(Used for 8 months with only washing under running water before and after use, and drying it naturally)
＜Test2＞
To Ms. A, Ms. B, and Ms. C
Left eye: Insert and remove the lens using the meruru
Right eye: insert and remove lens using fingers
Two weeks later, we measured the viable bacteria in the used meruru, the left and right lenses, and the storage solution.
※The report says "SCL used for 8 months", but "SCL" is a misnomer for "meruru".

■TEST1
No viable bacteria were detected in meruru after 8 months of use with only washing with running water and natural drying.

■TEST2
There were people who had viable bacteria detected in their contact lenses and storage solution when they inserted and removed their lens using their fingers, but no one had viable bacteria detected in their contact lenses and storage solution when they inserted and removed their lens with meruru.

The third person's finger was measured to have very high levels of bacteria in the contact lenses and storage solution. This was because the person had developed GPC (giant papillary conjunctivitis) due to inserting and removing the lens with dirty hands.

If you cannot wash your hands sufficiently, or if it is difficult to "insert" and "remove" contact lenses, try using meruru.
