■Warnings about imitation products
Beware of imitations of meruru.
meruru is a product developed by a Japanese woman over a period of three years.
In Japan, we have obtained a patent and registered a design.
Overseas, imitations that copy the shape of meruru are available at low prices.
We checked the counterfeit products and found them to be very shoddy.
The material is different from meruru.
We are not responsible for any damage to your eyes caused by the use of imitation products.

Your fingertips will not touch the contact lens.
So it is clean, comfortable, and safe.

meruru is a device that allows you to "insert" and "remove" soft contact lenses and colored contact lenses without your fingertips touching the lens.

In June 2013, meruru was born as the world's first "soft contact lens insertion and removal tool.”
It was developed by a woman.
She has spent three years developing this product for people who have trouble inserting and removing soft and colored contact lenses.
meruru has cumulatively shipped more than 300,000 units in 2020.
This product is recommended not only for those who have trouble inserting and removing their contact lenses every day, but also for those who are concerned about their fingertips touching their lenses due to COVID-19 pandemic.

With meruru, you can insert and remove your contacts cleanly and comfortably.

<How to insert contact lenses using meruru>
Step1:Stick your contact lens to the back of the spoon end of the stick.
Step2:Turn the stick slightly about half a turn and scoop up the lens as if it were being rolled up.
Step3:Transfer the lens that was rolled up with the stick by sliding it onto the trumpet shaped part of the tweezers.
※For thin contact lenses, gently shake the stick to remove water before transferring.
Step4:Open your eyes wide with the hand that is not holding the tweezers and slowly insert the lens.
※It will be easier to insert the lens if you open the other eye as wide as the eye that you are inserting the lens in.

<How to remove contact lenses using meruru>
Step1:Pull your chin back a little, look upward, and pull your eyelid down with the hand that is not holding the tweezers.
Touch the contact lens with the knobs evenly on both sides. From that state, close the tweezers and remove the lens.
※When closing the tweezers, apply equal pressure on both sides.
※If it is difficult to apply force when closing the tweezers, shift the fingers that are holding the tweezers toward the knob to make it easier to apply force.

Our hands are dirtier than we think.

"Hands" especially the "fingers" are the part of the body that touches the most things.

These photos check the bacteria left on the hands of three women after two hours of work, in the following order: "as is," "washed hands with water only," and "washed hands with hand soap". (viable bacteria count confirmation test)

When "inserting" or "removing" soft contact lenses with your fingertips, you must wash your hands thoroughly to remove germs, makeup, and sebum from your fingertips.

When you cannot wash your hands sufficiently, or if it is difficult to "insert" and "remove," try meruru.

『meruru VS Finger』Viable bacteria count test

We ordered a specialized organization to measure the number of viable bacteria in the contact lenses and preservative solution, after two weeks of use with meruru and their fingers.。

It's obvious from the pictures!
With meruru, the contact lens is always clear, so it is always comfortable.

We compared "inserting" and "removing" using the fingertips, with "inserting" and "removing" using meruru.

When you "insert" contact lenses
When using your fingers, your fingertips may hide the lens, but with meruru, you can "insert" the lens while checking it carefully. Also when using meruru, it is easy to check the back and front of the contact lenses.。

When you "remove" contact lenses
With meruru, you can remove the lens with pinpoint accuracy while carefully checking the position of the lens in the mirror.

Contact lenses after insertion
After “inserting” contact lenses with fingertips, the fingers tend to get sebum on the lens, resulting in an oily or cloudy film as shown in the photo, whereas “inserting” contact lenses with meruru, it stays very clear.
